I'm Jess, 21 year old brand new mother to a baby boy named Philip Alexander! I'm inspired by the macabre and creepy and the countercultures that come with it. I'm also very political and angry. I fucking hate ignorance. This will become evident.
I try my best to fight oppressions of all spectrums, including but not limited to activism for indigenous rights/respect, fat positivism & sex positivism, socialism, american dissidence, and against anti-queer bigotry, racism, xenophobia, ableism, assimilation, and misogyny/trans misogyny, and the intersectionalities that exist within them.
I also post lots of lulzy things. I'm not always the PC police, but I am when I see oppressive shit! I smash you! Other interests include gothy, alternative, darkly inclined aesthetics, bats, raccoons, owls, bunnies, tattoos, non-tribal appropriative body mods, BDSM, attachment parenting (like breastfeeding and intactivism), cute animals, food pr0nz, and of course, my baby boy. I mostly post things of this nature but weeve in the political things when I get the chance. I am a busy full time student and mama.

I haven’t been on in like a year. who are you people? why are you in my bathroom?
since I’ve been away from tumblr i’ve become a vocal, unapologetic intactivist. I have to be, because people are so mind fuckingly ignorant when it comes to that topic. So occasionally I’ll be writing/posting about it (though it won’t be the focus of this blog). If you don’t want to know the truth, stick your fingers in your ears or close your eyes to this subject, I’m letting you know right now that I WILL speak about it occasionally, and will not tolerate anyone supporting forced genital cutting of infants. Just a heads up ;) I probably won’t be on here much anyway

So I got on the subject of circumcision with my sister today and she didn’t know what that was, so I began to explain. I told her about the glans and the frenulum and the foreskin, I told her how forcibly retracting it was really bad and she asked if they do that in circumcision - I told her yes, because they’re going to cut it off.
She didn’t even let me finish, but I didn’t have to. I didn’t have to discuss how people regret their infant circumcisions, or how it impacts their sexual and emotional health - she already looked disgusted and said that she would never do that to her children, regardless of religion! You don’t mess with a baby’s penis!
I was pleasantly surprised, and proud of her. She immediately understood that it’s wrong to cut parts off of infants and religion isn’t a valid excuse to hurt someone! If my 14yr old sister can understand this without knowing how detrimental it can be and without knowing they don’t use adequate anesthesia, why can’t grown people figure this out? Especially with all of that knowledge?

Hi.
I have internet now for the first time in a year and 3 months, lolz. I’m deciding whether I should get back into tumblr….when I look back, as inspiring as it was, I feel like I wasted sooo many hours on it that I could have used being productive. I’ve had tumblr for 3 and a half years (switched to this one a while back)…I was a YOUNGIN when I started…now I’m almost 23. I wish I was young again and doing something OUT in the world, not on the internet :( oh well…..we’ll see how this goes! I don’t want to whither away on the computer as my son grows up….but at the same time, it’s so fun! D:
